Serenity, delicious cuisine, a relaxed way of life… Kerala is a prime destination for anyone seeking a holiday where rest and immersion blend perfectly. That said, it’s impossible to sit idle in Kerala, where there are numerous must-see attractions that are easily accessible given the small size of this southern state.
Places not to be missed include the stalls in the narrow streets of Fort Kochi and Varkala Beach. And what about the spice market in Thekkady or the Athirappally Waterfalls? There’s such a wealth of diversity that you never tire of exploring it.
At sunset in Varkala, we love to stroll along the cliffs and enjoy a drink on a terrace overlooking the ocean.
Cruising on a houseboat through the Backwaters. It’s the best way to explore this fascinating and unique region of India. To get even closer to the local people, we also love staying with local families, where you can discover the very distinctive way of life in these waterside communities.
Nature, ever-present, offers a wealth of activities. Whether it’s a walk through the tea plantations in Munnar, a boat trip in the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary or a cycle ride to the local spice market, there is so much to discover in Kerala.
In Munnar, we love trekking through the tea plantations with a local guide and enjoying a ‘homemade’ breakfast served during the walk.
A wellness retreat in Kerala. It’s the perfect place for anyone looking to recharge their batteries. This is where Ayurvedic medicine originated, and the treatments provided by professionals here are renowned worldwide. Whether you’re seeking rest and relaxation or a more intensive wellness programme, tailored treatments of varying lengths are available.

Visitors are left with a sense of peace and tranquillity after exploring the Backwaters region of Kerala. Whether you spend the night on a houseboat, with a local family or in a charming hotel, a relaxed way of life and serenity are the hallmarks of a stay in this very special region.

It is here, in this former British summer capital, that tea is grown. Nothing is more invigorating than setting off on a trek through these plantations, which stretch out endlessly like vast carpets. You’re also bound to meet some wonderful people there.

All along India’s south-west coast, Kerala’s beaches are the heart of everyday life. You can swim there, take a stroll, and meet some fascinating people.

A day to explore the ‘museum city’: the Dutch Palace, the Synagogue built in 1568 and St Francis’ Church, the oldest European church in India where Vasco da Gama was buried in 1524.
