Day 1 • New Delhi

You arrive at the international terminal in New Delhi. Whatever the time, we will personally welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2 • New Delhi 
Mid-morning you will set off to explore New Delhi. Founded by the British, it is home to the sumptuous tomb of Humayun, the model on which the Taj Mahal in Agra is said to have been built. You will continue with a stop in front of India Gate and a walk to Rashtrapati Bhawan, the presidential residence.

At the end of the day, relax by the beautiful pool or stroll through the nearby Tibetan market.

Day 3 • Delhi - Agra
In the morning, you will depart for Agra, the ancient capital of the great Mughal emperors. Before arrival, you will visit Akbar's tomb in Sikandra. It is one of the many masterpieces of 17th century Mughal architecture in India.

Upon your arrival in Agra, check in at the hotel. Rest of the day to enjoy the hotel and / or visit the bazaars of the city.

Day 4 • Agra
Full day sightseeing starting at the Taj Mahal, winner of the 2007 New Seven Wonders of the World initiative. The main monument reflects the genius of both the architects and the thousands of craftsmen who worked on it. Next visit will be at the Red Fort, the interiors of which form a real city with its palaces, mosques and gardens. Finally, you will explore the mausoleum of Itimad-ud-Daulah a.k.a 'Baby Taj'.

The frescoes on the interior walls and the polychrome marble inlay on the exterior walls make it a must-see.

Day 5 • Agra - Jaipur 
Morning departure to Rajasthan and its pink capital, Jaipur. En route, visit Fatehpur Sikri. The ancient capital of the Mughal Empire was built in the 16th century by Akbar. He is said to have abandoned it barely fifteen years after its completion for lack of water resources. Shortly before Jaipur, another stop at Abhaneri. Here you will visit one of the oldest and deepest baoli (wells) in North India. 
On arrival in Jaipur, check in at the hotel and rest of the day free.

Day 6 • Jaipur
Full day sightseeing of the Pink City. The first stop will be in front of the iconic Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a finely carved pink sandstone façade. You will then drive to Amber where fort stands, a fabulous labyrinth of courtyards, interior gardens and rooms decorated with mirrors and mosaics.

In the afternoon, you will stroll in the courtrooms and courtyards of the City Palace and your day will finish at Jantar Mantar, the amazing observatory built by Jai Singh II where sundials and astrolabes form a surreal landscape.

Day 7 • Jaipur
Second day tour of Jaipur to explore Jaigarh Fort. The huge hilltop fortress overlooks Amber fort. You will also go to Gaitor where the finely carved marble chatris (canopies about tombs) of the maharajas of Jaipur are located.

Finally, you will discover Galta ji, a Hindu place of worship where pilgrims come to bathe in the sacred water tanks.

The end of the day will be free to stroll along the Man Sagar lake, a popular place for Indians in the late afternoon.

Day 8 • Jaipur - Udaipur 
In the morning you will check out of the hotel and be transferred to the airport. From there you will take your flight to the white city of Udaipur. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day will be free to relax at the pool and/or explore the narrow streets of the old city at your own pace.

Day 9 • Udaipur 
Day tour of the ancient capital of Mewar including the sprawling City Palace which overlooks Lake Pichola. It is the largest palace in Rajasthan.

A labyrinth of narrow passages where rooms contain beautiful paintings, colourful enamels, glass inlays and antique furniture.

In the old city you will focus on the Jagdish temple and enjoy a beautiful view of the city during a boat ride on the lake. You will end your day in the shopping alleys after strolling through the ‘Garden of the Maidens’.

Day 10 • Udaipur - Delhi

You will have time to enjoy the city at your own pace or take advantage of the last few hours of your stay to relax by the pool. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Delhi. On arrival, we will greet you and transfer you to the international terminal for your return journey.

IDEAS TO CUSTOMISE YOUR LUXURY RAJASTHAN TOUR

- Add an overnight stay in Udaipur to visit the temples of Ranakpur and the Kumbhalgarh fort.
